Rega Brio-R amplifier - Audio T Recommends

  • Independent review by Audio T
New from Rega, the Brio-R is a half sized remote control two channel stereo amplifier. The built in phono stage has been designed to reflect improvements in the latest generation of Rega turntables. Designed without compromise - the remote control circuit even has it's own power supply to prevent sonic interference.

The Brio R has quickly established itself as the benchmark amplifier that all others must be judged by. It is incredibly minimalist by nature and this has produced a very focused product.

It has strong dynamics, a keen sense of detail combined with a full bodied warmth that only a short while ago would simply not exist at this price point.

The use of expensive high quality film capacitors at all critical points within the amplifier signal path including phono stage, along with a massive toroidal power transformer and over engineered output stage give it the ability to drive incredibly difficult speaker loads and yet retain subtlety and finesse whilst doing so

To top everything off it is also incredibly small and equiped with remote control of volume and input selection.
