Enjoy the quality of the 8200CD with a built in pre amp as well. The 8200CDQ uses the same technologies but includes a pre amp, allowing you to plug all your products into it. The existing digital inputs are joined by three line-level analogue inputs, providing source selection and volume control in the analogue domain. The preamplifier section is fully balanced and all analogue input signals are converted to balanced form, helping to reduce distortion and noise. Class A gain structures are present throughout, and users may choose between preamplification in the analogue or digital domain in respect of the digital inputs. In addition, the 8200CDQ adds a direct-coupled, discrete, Class A headphone amplifier, accessible via a socket on the front panel.

John Westlake leads the design team responsible for developing the 8200CD and 8200CDQ. Johnʼs technical skills have delivered award-winning digital audio products spanning the last two decades and a variety of companies have benefitted from his expertise. John is convinced that the 8200CD and 8200CDQ are the finest CD players he has ever designed.

The 8200CDQ can be used as a stand-alone DAC or a pre amplifier with Audiolab stating that they believe that this is the best sounding DAC currently available. The build quality is also great and some of the best within the price range.

The Audiolab 8200CDQ focuses on compatibility with a wide range of digital inputs including USB, coax, and optical. The USB is capable of interfacing with a number of media players including WMP, iTunes, and iRiver making this one of the most adaptable units on the market.

Whether you use it as a full CD player or a stand-alone DAC or pre amplifier, the Audiolab 8200CDQ delivers great performance and excellent adaptability.

The award winning 8200CD with a high quality pre amp section built in, this player works great with a range of power amplifiers or active speakers, but really sings with the company’s own 8200P stereo power amp or 8200MB monoblock power amps. Detailed yet musical sound with all the inputs you’re likely to need, including optical, coaxial and usb for use with the latest generation digital sources, plus an A/V bypass mode for integration with surround sound equipment.

A CD player with a difference, Audiolab's 8200CDQ has a built in Pre-amp, enabling direct connection to a power amp such as Audiolab's own 8200P. Optical and coax digital inputs and a USB socket allow playback of music from your computer - including high quality 96/24 files. Also featured is a built in headphone amplifier which gives excellent results. A fantastic CD player with a slightly more solid sound than the 8200CD which we also have on demonstration in store.
