The award winning 8200CD with a high quality pre amp section built in, this player works great with a range of power amplifiers or active speakers, but really sings with the company’s own 8200P stereo power amp or 8200MB monoblock power amps. Detailed yet musical sound with all the inputs you’re likely to need, including optical, coaxial and usb for use with the latest generation digital sources, plus an A/V bypass mode for integration with surround sound equipment.

A CD player with a difference, Audiolab's 8200CDQ has a built in Pre-amp, enabling direct connection to a power amp such as Audiolab's own 8200P. Optical and coax digital inputs and a USB socket allow playback of music from your computer - including high quality 96/24 files. Also featured is a built in headphone amplifier which gives excellent results. A fantastic CD player with a slightly more solid sound than the 8200CD which we also have on demonstration in store.

Audiolab 8200CDQ - Being a lover of music on vinyl, ranging from classical and opera to Pink Floyd and the Eagles, previous CD players I've used have ...
given a very "harsh" and "clinical" sound by comparison. My newly purchased Audiolab 8200CDQ (CD and pre-amp) is quite different giving a very balanced but much "warmer" sound akin to vinyl (without the scratches!). I am hearing separation and detail on the CD's not heard before and am genuinely surprised by how much I am enjoying it. Combined with it's simplicity of set-up and use I can only recommend this player. My system is with the Audiolab 8200P power amp and played through Focal Chorus 714 speakers and the vinyl comparison is against a Michell Tecnodec turntable with Dynavector cartridge.
