Welcome to Audio T Brighton

Welcome to Audio T Brighton. We have been located here since 1980 providing a high level of expertise and experience, previously trading as Jeffries Hi-Fi before joining the Audio T group in 2002.

Music is a key factor in our lives, and we would be very pleased to have the opportunity to help you improve your enjoyment of music and movies at home. Extraordinarily, between the three of us we have amassed over 100 years in Hi-Fi retail. Having been turntable specialists since the early days of the Linn Sondek LP12 and Rega turntables, and with over 40 years of providing upgrades and servicing for these and other makes, we can help you obtain better sound and more musical enjoyment.

Our refurbished Home Cinema room is well worth a visit and can be booked for demonstrations, so come along for a ‘wow’ moment. We look forward to your contact and hope to see you in store.

Meet the team

Paul Mackey - Installation Manager: Paul joined Audio T from Jefferies Hi-Fi after the merger the big in 2002. He originally joined the Brighton branch of Jeffries in late ‘80s. Paul listens to a wide variety of music and enjoys going to live concerts. His current Hi-Fi system comprises of a Linn record player, Naim CD player and speakers and Meridian amplifiers.

John Killick - Store Manager: John started recommending Hi-Fi systems and setting up turntables for Radford Hi-Fi in Bristol in 1985, just about the time Tom Waits released Rain Dogs. He then joined Jeffries Hi-Fi on returning to Brighton when Talk Talk released Spirit Of Eden in 1988. After a spell working elsewhere he returned to Jeffries in '91 around the time of Primal Scream’s Screamadelica. As well as listening to music and live concerts he enjoys films and TV box sets.

Adrian Pollard – Sales Consultant: After 32 years in the UK education system as a teacher of mathematics, Adrian decided to follow an interest he has had since his early teens. A lover of music and Hi-Fi since his father first introduced him to Jascha Heifetz and Oscar Peterson around the time of Out of the Blue by the Electric Light Orchestra, his musical tastes changed to the hard rock and the likes of Deep Purple Mk II and the ongoing worship of their guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. For several years, he was a lead/rhythm guitarist in a band called The Trilobites. A deep and ongoing love of jazz developed as the “jazz gene” kicked-in during middle age, resulting in a particular love of the golden-age of jazz during the 1950's and 1960's. A more eclectic and diverse range of musical tastes has continued to develop to this day. A coveter of Linn/Naim systems since the late 1970's and now the proud owner of a Naim Uniti Nova, the flexibility of listening and superb audio quality of such a system has always been important to his music listening and at the root of him being able to get to the “being there” quality of music.

Kevin Simmonds – Part-Time Sales Consultant: Kevin has spent majority of working life in retail and service industry initially Comet in the Halcyon days of hi-fi with their ‘wall of silver’ having developed his set-up over the past 40 years into a Naim active system to date and long term patron of Audio T. On joining Brighton he is discovering more music with colleagues in the store which is proving extremely satisfying and enjoyable gaining information in the process with new technologies ongoing.
