Rega Planar 6 Turntable + Cartridge Options
Rega’s all new Planar 6, designed from the ground up with trickle down technology from the exceptional RP10 has been in development for a couple of years.
The Planar 6 ships with the new NEO power supply, advanced anti-vibration motor circuit, with user adjustable electronic fine speed adjustment. (as seen on the RP10 PSU)
The Neo uses the RP10 DSP (digital signal processing) generator built upon a high stability crystal. The DSP generator will divide the accurate signal from the crystal to the exact frequency required to turn the platter at the selected speed. The DSP generator will also generate a near perfect sinusoidal waveform to drive the motor. This, along with an efficient drive amplifier, generates a 24V AC balanced signal of less than 0.15% distortion, which is completely unaffected by any changes in the mains/line voltage and conditions. This then drives the turntables anti-vibration circuit, which is situated beneath the turntable.
The plinth is now constructed of a super lightweight foam core to reduce mass and increase rigidity. The outer plinth is covered in a new laminate "Polaris HPL" (high pressure laminate). The benefits are a non marking matt finish scratch resistant high rigidity skin. The plinth is then finished with high gloss black polymer edging.
The Planar 6 is then further enhanced by the following;

- New aluminium foot trims and Planar style feet.
Planar 6 is available without cartridge or with a choice of Exact MM, Ania MC and Ania Pro MC cartridges factory fitted at a saving over buying them individually. The Planar6/Ania combination really does represent a stunning value for money turntable combination and we highly recommend you listen to it if considering a deck in this price bracket either as an upgrade or first purchase.
