Ortofon Quintet Blue MC Cartridge
The Quintet Blue is in effect the direct replacement for a Rondo Red Cartridge offering a performance that tends to be a smoother reproduction compared to the Quintet Red and moderate dynamic strength compared to Quintet Bronze.
It features a Nude Elliptical diamond mounted on an aluminium cantilever. The naturally low internal impedance of the Quintet series means they are less fussy about the load connected which in turn ensures they partner easily with a wide range of phono preamps. This guarantees a remarkably stable performance accross many amplifier platforms.
The modern body design constructed of a special ABS thermoplastic with straight lines and angles also allows for a far easier job when it comes to fitting the cartridge in the headshell. It is possible to align the body by eye, with the alignment protractor with greater accuracy given its shape. The internal aluminium frame of the Quintet series has threaded holes for mounting and is supplied with two lengths of screws to suit all headshells.
