Neat Acoustics Iota Alpha Speakers
The Iota Alpha is about half the height of most floorstanding speakers and is internally split into two chambers. In the upper sealed and angled chamber Neat retain the drive units of the bookshelf Iota model – a 50mm EMIT planar magnetic tweeter and 10cm mid/bass unit . Then in the lower ported chamber a 13.4cm downward firing bass driver handles the low frequencies.
The entire cabinet is then mounted on high quality spikes as you would expect. The cabinets are also handed allowing you to experiment with tweeters on the inside or outside of the midrange units as you look at them, allowing you to tailor the soundstage to fit your listening space.
The Iota Alpha convey great precision and focus and are easy to place in most listening environments requiring just a small amount of space behind the cabinets to allow them to breathe. The height of the musical image is such that it appears above the top of the cabinets allowing the speakers to visually disappear whilst you are listening!
