Select the Correct Size and Quantity
Aperta and Aperta 200 are supplied as pairs for stereo speakers.
Aperta 300 is supplied as one individual stand and is commonly used beneath a centre-channel speaker. Two units must be ordered if a particular stereo installation requires one Aperta 300 beneath each speaker.

Patented IsoAcoustics Isolation
The isolators are designed to manage energy generated by the speaker rather than allowing it to pass freely into the supporting surface.
This helps reduce vibration travelling into shelves, desks, cabinets and speaker stands, where it may excite the structure and create unwanted resonance or audible rattles.

Reducing Vibration Through the Supporting Surface
A loudspeaker cabinet and its drive units generate mechanical energy as music plays.
When the speaker is coupled directly to resonant furniture or shelving, some of that energy can travel into the structure and cause it to vibrate along with the speaker.

Directional Isolation
The IsoAcoustics isolators are directional rather than designed to move equally in every direction.
Their internal shape is intended to manage energy in line with the front-to-back movement of the speaker drivers while resisting unnecessary sideways motion and oscillation.
Correct orientation is therefore an important part of installation.
Position the IsoAcoustics Logo Towards the Listener
For normal installation, position each stand with the IsoAcoustics logo facing forwards in the same direction as the speaker drivers.
The stand may be turned through 180 degrees if you prefer to hide the logo, but it should not be rotated through 90 degrees with the logo facing sideways.
Sculpted Cast-Aluminium Frame
The Aperta Series uses a rigid cast-aluminium frame rather than the high-impact ABS structure used by IsoAcoustics’ professional ISO-Stand Series.
The aluminium construction allows the frame to remain relatively slim while providing a stable and visually discreet support for home audio speakers.

Integrated Tilt Adjustment
Each Aperta model can be tilted by up to 6.5 degrees to help direct the speaker towards the listening position.

Upward and Downward Tilt
The stands can be configured to tilt the speaker upwards or downwards.

For downward tilt, IsoAcoustics instructs users to rotate the lower frame so that the adjustable poles are positioned towards the rear.
Do Not Exceed the Adjustment Range

Do not improvise additional tilt using loose wedges or unstable packing materials beneath the stand.
No Separate Height Adjustment
The Aperta Series has one fixed basic height for each model and does not include the alternative tube lengths supplied with IsoAcoustics’ ISO-Stand Series.
The integrated mechanism changes the angle of the speaker but does not turn the Aperta into a substantially taller speaker stand.
If significantly greater height is required, use a suitably stable supporting platform, a compatible floor stand or consider the height-adjustable ISO-Stand Series.
Focusing the Tweeter Towards Ear Level
For many conventional loudspeakers, the strongest tonal balance and stereo image are achieved when the tweeter is reasonably aligned with the listener’s seated ear height.
The Aperta’s tilt adjustment helps compensate when furniture, shelving or stand height prevents ideal vertical positioning.
Use the same angle for both stereo speakers and make small adjustments while listening from the main seating position.
Suitable Supporting Surfaces
IsoAcoustics states that Aperta stands can be used on a floor, shelf, cabinet, credenza, desktop or suitable floor stand.
The underlying surface must remain rigid, level and capable of supporting the combined weight of the speaker and Aperta stand.
Isolation cannot compensate for furniture that rocks, flexes excessively or is itself unsafe.
Using Aperta on Speaker Stands
Aperta can be positioned between a standmount speaker and the top plate of a conventional floor stand when the speaker rests freely on the stand.
The top plate must be large enough to support the Aperta securely and the combined arrangement must remain stable.
If the speaker is mechanically fastened to the floor stand so that both effectively behave as one structure, IsoAcoustics recommends considering GAIA isolation beneath the complete stand instead.
Check the Existing Stand Top Plate
Do not balance an Aperta on a top plate that is too narrow or shallow to support it safely.
The optional Aperta Support Plate can provide a larger mounting surface where the existing speaker stand is stable but its top plate is too small.

IsoAcoustics offers steel support plates for Aperta and Aperta 200.
The plates can be secured to a suitable supporting surface using the supplied double-sided tape or may be drilled and bolted into place where appropriate.
The support plates are optional accessories and are not included with the Aperta isolation stands.
Speaker Size and Overhang
IsoAcoustics recommends comparing the stand dimensions with the flat underside of the speaker before ordering.
The speaker should normally be the same size as or larger than the Aperta stand. A modest amount of cabinet overhang is acceptable where the speaker remains stable and its weight is distributed safely.
Feet, curved cabinet bases, plinths and uneven undersides must also be considered rather than relying only on the speaker’s overall width and depth.
Measure the Flat Contact Area
Measure the part of the speaker that will actually rest on the Aperta, not only the widest external cabinet dimensions.
A speaker with a narrow plinth, protruding feet or strongly curved underside may require a different solution even when its published dimensions appear suitable.
Weight Capacity and Performance
Each Aperta model is tuned for a particular weight range and has a specified maximum capacity.
The speaker’s weight must not exceed the limit of the individual stand supporting it.

One Stand Supports One Speaker
The stated capacity applies to each individual Aperta stand.

Upper and Lower Isolator Contact
The upper isolators make contact with the underside of the speaker, while the lower isolators connect the Aperta to its supporting surface.
On smooth surfaces, the shape of the isolators can produce a mild suction-cup effect. On textured surfaces, they provide a high-friction grip.
The speaker is not permanently glued or mechanically fastened to the stand during a normal installation.
The Speaker Is Not Bolted to the Aperta
Move and handle the speaker and isolation stand separately unless you can safely support both.
Do not lift a speaker and assume that the Aperta will remain attached underneath it.
Aperta for Stereo Speakers
Aperta and Aperta 200 are supplied as matched pairs for conventional left and right speakers.
Both stands should use the same orientation and tilt angle, and the speakers should remain equally positioned relative to the listener wherever possible.
After installation, recheck toe-in, spacing and distance from nearby walls because raising or tilting the speakers may alter the optimum setup.
Aperta 300 for Centre Speakers
The 300mm-wide Aperta 300 is designed to suit many centre-channel speakers and is supplied individually.
Its tilt adjustment can help direct dialogue towards seated ear level when the centre speaker is positioned below or above the screen.
The centre speaker must remain within the 27.2kg weight limit and have a suitable flat contact area.
Very Wide Centre Speakers
A single Aperta 300 may not provide sufficient support for an exceptionally wide or unusually shaped centre speaker.
IsoAcoustics states that a pair of Aperta or Aperta 200 stands can be positioned side by side with a space between them for some wider centre-channel installations.
The correct arrangement should be checked using the speaker’s weight distribution, cabinet construction and IsoAcoustics’ product selector.
Not Designed for Subwoofers
The ordinary Aperta, Aperta 200 and Aperta 300 models are intended for bookshelf, standmount and centre speakers.
