Chord Rumour X Speaker Cable Unterminated (per single metre)
Rumour influenced every other Chord speaker cable produced afterwards and such was the performance of Rumour, its design has remained unchanged until now, with the introduction of Rumour X.
Each conductor is made up of multiple strands of silver-plated oxygen free copper. These conductors are then twisted as a pair and insulated by a version of XLPE (Cross-linked Polyethylene) that as a material looked particularly interesting during research and testing. Subsequently following many listening tests this proved to clearly be the case offering performance overall that eclipsed the PTFE used in the older Rumour speaker cable.
Rumour X is a remarkably compatible speaker cable and can be used in a wide range of amplifiers and speakers, from mini systems right up to large floor standing speakers. Rumour X will produce excellent definition throughout the frequency range, outstanding dynamics and once run in, an outstandingly neutral tonal quality. This level of performance comes from a cable with a diameter of only 6 mm, making Rumour X the ideal choice for extracting genuine performance from what in hi-fi terms is a near invisible cable.
