Beetle is a modern multi-purpose DAC built for today’s vastly differing lifestyles. It is capable of delivering naturally dynamic, uncompressed music via its high-performance optical or asynchronous USB inputs and then Beetle adds exceptional convenience and surprisingly beautiful sound through its asynchronous Bluetooth technology as well.

The AudioQuest Beetle is a neatly styled Bluetooth and USB digital-to-analog converter, which delivers low-noise, high quality stereo sound. Beetle features USB, Toslink, and asynchronous Bluetooth inputs and input selection is automatic as soon as the device detects a digital signal.

This digital-to-analog converter then changes the digital data into a rich, natural sounding detailed sound. The Beetle happens to be the first desktop Bluetooth USB D to A converter, which can be upgraded easily over the internet with the new software or firmware whenever required.

The AudioQuest Beetle is equipped with a quality headphone amplifier capable of feeding directly to headphones, powered speakers, amplifiers etc. using a 3.5mm stereo output socket. This output can support headphones with a minimum 20 ohm impedance, variable line-level output for driving active speakers or power amps plus a fixed line-level output for connecting to an existing preamp or receiver for example.

When in use with your computer or laptop the Beetle gets its power directly via USB Cable from your Mac or PC. If you are using it as a stand alone optical or Bluetooth DAC then it comes complete with an external power supply to connect.

By making use of the Beetle you will hear a significant improvement in the sound quality of most media players as well as computers.

Beetles' asynchronous USB (Micro Type B) interface has been optimised to improve and refine the sound quality from MP3s and Hi-Res audio when connecting to a PC to access the stored audio content. Its asynchronous Bluetooth input features Beetle's proprietary wireless communication technology pushing for the best sound quality possible.

Beetle supports digital files up to 24-bit/96kHz for optical and USB inputs.
