Based on the 8300CD, the 8300CDQ Utilises the existing technology and of its predecessor offering all the same level of detail, transparency and dynamic range. It is both an exceptional CD player and a top-class external DAC/digital preamp, able to make the most of your CD collection.

The Audiolab 8300CDQ in common with the 8300CD delivers a clean and finely etched performance being built for quality and versatility. Decoding is taken care of by a highly rated Sabre 32-bit DAC.

Analogue output is possible via standard RCA/phono or XLR Balanced outputs which naturally make the most of the 8300's balanced circuit design. Digital inputs mean the unit can also be used as a stand-alone DAC while multiple digital devices can be connected with two optical and two coaxial digital inputs, along with an AES input via balanced XLR.

Importantly there is also a USB input for direct connection to a computer allowing you to bypass the usually inferior sound cards found in most computers and utilize the 8300's high-end DAC for greater quality sound. If you have a sizeable computer-based music collection, the Audiolab will let you get the most from it and uncompressed file formats such as FLAC or WAV are guaranteed to sound awesome.

While delivering an enormous sonic boost to external digital audio sources in common with the 8300CD, it extends its resolution to 32-bit/384-kHz and has DSD compatibility. Audiolab have added the ability to decode DSD audio via the USB input plus the 8300CDQ now includes MQA technology, which enables you to play back MQA audio files and streams, delivering the sound of the original master recording.

MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) is an award-winning British technology that delivers the sound of the original master recording. The master MQA file is fully authenticated and is small enough to stream or download.
