New Naim Network Streamers ND5 XS2, NDX 2 and ND 555 Arriving Soon!

Posted: 21st May 2018
Officially launched at our Bristol Hi-Fi Show, we are incredibly excited about these three streamers that finally brings the new technology in the Uniti series to the Naim Classic range. These latest Naim network players have been engineered with the new streaming system that was three years in the making, having been tirelessly developed by Naim's team of engineers for Naim Uniti.
Combining high-speed digital components with a rich analogue sound, the Naim network players are easy to control and are designed with the latest streaming services in mind, whilst retaining Naim’s classic styling. So for those of you with existing Classic components they will perfectly match your system.

At the heart of the new range is their first ever 500 Series network player – the ND 555. The ND 555 also marks the first 500 Series launch since the CD555 12 years ago. Like the NDS it supersedes, the ND 555 requires a 555 PS power supply but those of you upgrading from an NDS will already have one of these, making the step up a little bit easier!

Inside the three new units (ND5 XS 2, NDX 2 and ND 555) is a precise blend of high-speed digital components and rich analogue audio stages. The ND 555 and NDX 2 models also feature full colour displays to bring songs visually to life. When it came to the reference player, ND 555, Naim engineers called on audio technology they’ve only used in the flagship Statement range, as well as several new innovations. For example, Naim installed a series of 13 discrete regulators, similar to Statement, that supply ultra-clean voltage to the delicate audio stages. It’s this mix of high-end, audiophile technology and the playability of the streaming system that gives the new network players their staggering musical output.
But, of course, the proof of the pudding is what they actually sound like and we look forward to putting them through their paces when they arrive and also to demonstrating them to you at a number of events we will be running a little later in the year. So keep checking our events list for further details! Once the first players arrive do look out for our store blogs over the coming months as we are sure our branches will want to let you know what they think!
