Audio T is one of the oldest and most respected hi-fi retailers in the world having been in business for over 50 years! Started in 1966 the company has always been innovative - selling the best from large and small companies alike. Our reputation for offering the best products combined with the best service and advice keeps our customers returning time and time again.
In September 2008 we merged with like-minded companies, Audio Excellence and Practical Hi-Fi. Now with 14 physical stores and our online store we are able to offer our goods and services to customers across the United Kingdom.
For the convenience of those who live too far from one of our stores, or those who wish to shop from home, we sell online. Our online store sells hundreds of items and offers a “Click and Reserve/Collect” service for customers to reserve items for in-store collection and payment.
We are happy to ship goods to you but this excludes some products that require special installation or those from suppliers who prefer us not to mail order. All items are subject to availability and we will always give you the best information we can on anticipated delivery dates. Please call or e-mail us for prices or to discuss anything you are unsure about. We do not ship outside of the UK.
We offer a wide range of credit products to suit most budgets. Call into your nearest shop for full details. All our credit facilities are subject to acceptance for UK residents aged 18 and over. Written quotations are available on request. Minimum amount of loan (after deposit) is £200. We also offer a buy now, pay in 12 months time scheme on which, for a small settlement fee, you can purchase any equipment (as long as it exceeds £250, excludes second hand) and defer payment for 12 months.
All our shops have single speaker demonstration rooms and all except Southampton have a separate Home Cinema studio as well. Here you can listen in peace and without interruption, on your own if you prefer. Don't even think about buying from a shop without these facilities.
We are authorised by manufacturers to sell all the products we stock. This means we have factory trained staff who know what they're talking about, we can buy at and pass on to you the best possible prices and we can repair or replace items quickly if they go wrong. Avoid at all costs shops who pretend they are dealers but actually just source products from a third party. They may not know much about the products and may not be able to sort out any problems properly.
We honour all manufacturers guarantees and back this up with an after sales service you can count on, not only to repair anything that might go wrong but also to answer on-going technical queries. This excludes consumables such as drive belts, laser assemblies, styli and lamps.
We are represented by the radio, electrical and television retailers' association and are one of their highest quality independent retail chains. Conforming and in some cases exceeding their stringent Code of Practise, we guarantee the highest standards in our levels of service.
We try to give you what you want. We're as friendly and un-intimidating as we can be, and we can arrange home loans of equipment (subject to status) and home dems if a mutually agreeable time can be arranged. We send you regular mailings to keep you up to date (or not if you want) and we will install equipment, if required, for a small charge. We can make up leads for you, we can check your stylus for free, and we can clean your records for a small charge. We can also provide insurance quotes, system tests and reinstallation.
